Calistoga, CA

Give yourself the gift of a private, off-grid nature retreat in this renovated Airstream Land Yacht.  Designed and hosted by Christy, the space and experience are designed to calm the senses, quiet the mind, inspire the spirit and bring you close to nature.  It is perfect for personal, contemplative retreats for up to three people.

Located on one of the highest peaks within Calistoga's Mayacamas Mountains, on a pristine 150-acre property, the Airstream location is the ancient peak or "crown" of an ancient volcano in the middle of an ancient caldera and was sacred to Native Americans.  The location feels remote but is only a 15-minute drive from downtown Calistoga and 30 minutes from Santa Rosa.

The nature retreat experience is a genuine get-away from life's fast pace.  We hope it brings greater peace and happiness to all who visit.  We are off-grid, powered 100% by solar, and we haul our own water. There is no TV, no internet, no A/C, and our Airstream is an RV, which is not quite as straight forward as a typical stationary “house”.  For this reason we like to meet guests upon arrival for a brief orientation to ensure your stay is smooth and comfortable.

The "glamping" experience we offer is perfect for those who appreciate a touch of adventure and natural beauty within a dramatic, peaceful, private setting.  The Airstream is located on the peak or “crown” of an ancient volcano in the middle of an ancient caldera that was sacred to the Native Americans who once lived here.  It's one of the highest peaks in the area besides Mount Saint Helena.  The Airstream is the only structure on this 150-acre property and is extremely private.

Regarding your stay in our Airstream Land Yacht: The convertible sofa opens into a medium-firm bed (queen length, full width) with an extra thick mattress topper.  The built-in hall sofa opens into slightly larger than a twin bed.  Cotton bed linens, down comforters, pillows, towels, biodegradable soap/shampoo/conditioner, and kitchen ware are provided.  There is hot water for bathing, a four-burner propane stove, refrigerator, and other basic amenities.  Music lovers will enjoy the surround-sound stereo.

The 2017 Tubbs Fire sadly burned portions of this area. It is now an awe-inspiring place to experience, witness and be uplifted by nature's continual rebirth and regeneration.

Rate is $165/weekday night or $185/weekend night + $75 for cleaning.  Please contact Christy for booking and details:
